After a hiatus following the disbandment of Fudge Tunnel, Alex Newport returns to that unique brand of acrimonious sonics. Theory of Ruin couples Newport's angular, groove-laden guitar-work and vocals with the staunch rhythms of David Link and Ches Smith. The end result is somewhere between the late 70's art-punk of Gang of Four/Wire and the full-on sludge riffing of noise polluters Fudge Tunnel and Godflesh.
