LISTEN, WORSHIP: HERE
Hailing from Kolbotn, Norway (the home of Darkthrone) Obliteration are true heirs to a long line of gritty Scandinavian death metal. Black Death Horizon both invokes the classics of the genre and puts a new and fresh spin on the sound to make it their own. Pitchfork notes, "If you liked to hear Celtic Frost and Darkthrone go out searching for something strange, Obliteration wields that weirdness like a newborn superpower."

Formed in 2001, Obliteration (Sindre Solem -guitar / vocals, Arlid Myren Torp - guitar, Didrik Telle- bass, Kristian Valbo - drums) have released one EP (Total Fucking Obliteration - 2005) and two full-lengths (Perpetual Decay - 2007, Nekropsalms - 2009) to much critical acclaim in the metal underground. Combining a cosmic blend of old school death metal mixed with the best elements of doom, punk, thrash and primitive black metal, the band has quickly built a name for themselves with their unique, repulsive style. Black Death Horizon is true, cult death metal meant for both the diehard fans and the morbidly curious. The band plans to return to North America in early 2014 in support of their new record. Until then, put the needle on the record and prepare for aural OBLITERATION!
