Murder Construct

Even if Murder Construct is just getting around to releasing their debut full-length record, do not mistake these guys for metal novices. Featuring a pedigree of  renowned death metal and grindcore acts such as Cattle Decapitation, Exhumed,  Intronaut, Phobia, Uphill Battle, and several others, Murder Construct is a band thoroughly embedded in  extreme metal history. Their members are Travis Ryan (Cattle Decapitation), Leon del Muerte (Exhumed, Phobia, Impaled), Kevin Fetus (Fetus Eaters, Watch Me Burn), Caleb Schneider (Bad Acid Trip), and Danny Walker (Intronaut, Exhumed, Uphill Battle) – and their goal is simple: to bludgeon the listener with aural homicide.

The initial incarnation of Murder Construct was formed sometime in 2001, but it wasn’t until 2010 that the band released their self-titled debut EP on Relapse Records. This short but punishing release proved the band to be worthy of the often overused supergroup label.

In 2012, Murder Construct announced the release of their first full-length entitled Results.  Delivering on the promise of their EP, the album is lead by the ferocious single “Compelled By Mediocrity,” which is something of a battle cry, demolishing a generation of ungifted, ungrateful, and undisclosed musical enemies.  Easily one of 2012's most anticipated metal releases, Results has already been receiving rave reviews from press.

Having made appearances at several festivals, including Goregon Massacre Fest, and performed with acts such as Venomous Concept, Wormrot, and Anal Cunt, Murder Construct is doing anything but resting on their supergroup laurels. Metalunderground.com writes that the band “introduces the old school to the new,” as they combine classic styles from the history of death metal and grindcore with their own innovative techniques, resulting in confrontational, blood-stained metal that simply refuses to be ignored.
