Horseback / Locrian To Reissue Split Collaboration

Posted 9/10/12

Dark, experimental alchemists HORSEBACK and LOCRIAN have announced the re-release of their 2011 collaboration entitled New Dominions.  A beautiful piece of mysterious blackened psychedelia, New Dominions was previously available only in an extremely limited vinyl pressing via Utech Records.  Now remastered by James Plotkin and expanded to include 3 more tracks, this genre-defying release will see its deluxe CD/Digital reissue on November 6th via Relapse Records with pre-orders available at this location.

HORSEBACK recently released their latest full-length Half Blood via Relapse Records this past Spring.  The album can currently be streamed in its entirety here.

LOCRIAN recently signed to Relapse Records and re-released their vinyl only album The Clearing, re-titled as The Clearing / The Final Epoch and containing a bonus disc of previously unreleased material.  The album can be streamed in its entirety at this location.  LOCRIAN plan to enter the studio later this year to record their full-length Relapse debut.  Details will be announced shortly.

HORSEBACK and LOCRIAN are available for interviews upon request.  To speak with the band, please contact bob@relapse.com.  Additional HORSEBACK and LOCRIAN information is available via Relapse.com and the official HORSEBACK Facebook page and LOCRIAN Facebook page.

"It’s an instant classic! ... Both artists work with new dimensions of their projects to accomplish such an inspired release.  To work outside of their box and to execute it so well is very deft.  Both artists are becoming archmasters of their art."  -Foxydigitalis.com

"There’s something genuinely terrifying about what these collaborators have created here."  -Fracture-compound.com

"Mean as hell, loud as your speakers will allow, New Dominions is the sound of old ideas imploding." -Indyweek.com
