MISERY INDEX Guitarist To Debut New Pedal Design At NAMM With Amptweaker

Posted 1/10/11
MISERY INDEX guitarist Mark Kloeppel has partnered with Amptweaker to unveil the “Tight Metal” pedal at the annual NAMM conference next weekend (Jan 13-16) in Anaheim, CA. Amptweaker owner James Brown, who is well known for his engineering of Eddie Van Halen and Peavey’s original 5150 guitar amplifier, teamed up with Kloeppel to create the “Tight Metal” high-gain guitar pedal.

The “Tight Metal” pedal tone circuit was devised over the past year through concepts provided by Kloeppel coupled with Brown’s unparalleled engineering expertise. The pedal also features consumer suggested innovations such as an onboard noise gate or “chomp”, a “tight” control, and more. Additional details on the new “Tight Metal” pedal can be found here.

Kloeppel will be appearing at Amptweaker’s booth at NAMM next weekend to demo the “Tight Metal” pedal to industry leaders and music fans. He has also recently posted an online video demonstration of the pedal at this location.

Aside from MISERY INDEX, Kloeppel has performed and recorded with Criminal Element, Cast The Stone, and more. He has been playing guitar professionally for nearly 10 years and has toured the world over as a musician. MISERY INDEX has most recently completed two full North American and European tours in late 2010 in support of their new album ‘Heirs To Thievery’.

‘Heirs To Thievery’, the band’s third album for Relapse Records, is currently streaming in its entirety at HeirsToThievery.info.
