Announce European, Japanese Tour Dates

Posted 11/16/09
BARONESS has announced the first dates for their European headlining tour in support of Blue Record. This tour will kick-off on January 18th in The Netherlands, working its way through the mainland and UK. A listing of confirmed tour dates and cities can be found in the tour section with more details to be announced shortly.

Additionally, BARONESS has announced that they will join ISIS for a three-day Japanese tour in early April. This run of dates will follow the band's first Australian tour where they will be touring as part of the Soundwave Festival with JANE'S ADDICTION, FAITH NO MORE and many more.

BARONESS kick-off their US headlining tour this week in Washington, DC. Guests on this month-long tour include EARTHLESS, TORCHE, PIG DESTROYER, US CHRISTMAS, IRON AGE and more. A complete listing of tour dates and cities for this Revolver Magazine, Metal Injection, MetalSucks and KillerTours.com sponsored tour can be found in the tour section.

BARONESS recently premiered the first video from Blue Record, for the track A Horse Called Golgotha? online via MySpace Music: http://vids.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=vids.individual&videoid=100453521. The A Horse Called Golgotha?video was lensed in the band's hometown of Savannah, GA with director Joshua Green for The Distillery Collective. BARONESS worked with Greene previously on the band's Wanderlust?video from Red Album that can be viewed here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Bb3ep6YW0JI.

Blue Record debuted at #1 on the Billboard Heatseekers Chart and #117 on the Billboard Top 200 during its first week of release. The Heatseekers Chart lists the best-selling albums by new and developing artists who have never appeared in the Top 100 of the Billboard 200. Blue Record, the follow-up to 2007's Red Album, saw its North American release on October 13th and is currently streaming in its entirety at the band's MySpace page: MySpace.com/YourBaroness.
