Kick-Off European Tour; Drummer Launches Website

ORIGIN kick-off their month-long European headlining tour today in Leipzig, Germany. This tour includes performances as part of the SWR Barrosalas Metalfest, UK Death Fest, Posten Metal Fest and more with the UK leg being sponsored by Zero Tolerance Magazine. A listing of confirmed ORIGIN tour dates can be found in the tour section.

Following this tour, ORIGIN will take part in the annual 'Summer Slaughter Tour' in the United States with label-mates NECROPHAGIST and DYING FETUS. This six week tour will kick-off on June 5th in Baltimore, MD and also include SUFFOCATION, ENSIFERUM, DARKEST HOUR, WINDS OF PLAGUE, BORN OF OSIRIS, BENEATH THE MASSACRE and more. A listing of confirmed tour dates and cities can be found in the tour section with more to be announced soon.

Additionally, ORIGIN drummer John Longstreth has launched his own website, JohnLongstreth.com, that will be updated with ongoing ORIGIN tours and recordings as well as Longstreth's other drum projects including his contributions the upcoming GORGUTS album with Luc Lemay. Longstreth will also be available via the site to answer questions about his past drum work, drum gear and other general inquiries.

Expand European Tour With Three French Dates; Announces Dates As Part Of 'Summer Slaughter Tour'

ORIGIN has announced three new French dates as part of their month-long European headlining tour that will begin on April 24th in Leipzig, Germany. Completes Work On Antithesis

ORIGIN has completed work on their brand new album, Antithesis.

Antithesis, the follow-up to 2005's Echoes of Decimation, brings what is widely considered to be the band's strongest line-up back together (Paul Ryan ?guitars / vocals, Jeremy Turner ?guitars / vocals, James Lee ?vocals, Mike Flores ?bass / vocals, and John Longstreth ?drums) since the band's Informis Infinitas Inhumanitas album. Antithesis was engineered by Rob Rebeck at Chapman Studios, mastered by Scott Hull at Visceral Sound, and it's complete track listing is as follows: The Aftermath? Algorithm? Consuming Misery? Wrath of Vishnu? Finite? The Appalling? Void? Ubiquitous? The Beyond Within? and Antithesis?

Announce Final 2008 Performances

ORIGIN has announced their remaining live dates of 2008. The band will round out its 2008 'Antithesis' tour cycle with a string of Northeast and Mid-West dates starting September 27th. ORIGIN will be joined on this run by label-mates MISERY INDEX and FUCK THE FACTS. The Finite?video will see its televised premiere on this weekend's (05/24) edition of 'Headbanger's Ball' on MTV2. The video was shot in Brooklyn, NY with director David Brodsky for MyGoodEye.

ORIGIN drummer John Longstreth will be the featured cover artist on the first cover of the newest digital drumming magazine, Sick Drummer Magazine. Embark on European Tour; Begin Work on New Record

ORIGIN will kick-off an extensive European tour starting this Thursday, February 8 in Trier, Germany. From there the band, along with tour- and label-mates NECROPHAGIST and MISERY INDEX, will continue on their Carving Europe's Epitaph Tour II?through 15 countries within six weeks. A listing of confirmed tour dates can be found in the tour section. ORIGIN guitarist Paul Ryan comments on the tour: We are very excited about this opportunity to play overseas with some great bands! The almost overwhelming support has made the wait worthwhile and we are looking forward to shredding some heads everynight!!!?

Upon the completion of this tour, ORIGIN will forge ahead with writing their follow-up album to 2005's Echoes of Decimation. Ryan divulges: We are stoked about the material that we have now...as with all our cd's we are trying to make the approach different than the last. Welcome Back Drummer; Announce Summer Tour Plans

Renowned drummer John Longstreth has rejoined ORIGIN, the cult technical death metal band he played and recorded with over the band's first two albums (Informis, Infinitas, Inhumanitas and Origin).

ORIGIN will hit the road for an extensive US tour that will last through the better part of the summer. The tour will begin on July 19 in Oklahoma City and circle the US before concluding on August 26. This is the band's first headlining tour backing their latest release, Echoes of Decimation.
