Providence, RI’s metallic beasts HOWL have entered the studio with legendary producer ZEUSS (CROWBAR, MUNICIPAL WASTE, 3 INCHES OF BLOOD) to record their highly anticipated sophomore album. The album is being recorded, mixed and mastered by ZEUSS at his own Planet-Z Recordings and is expected for a Fall 2012 release.

HOWL who built a reputation for their unforgiving Mastodon meets Lamb of God pummeling attack, previously released a full-length and EP via Relapse Records. More details on the upcoming release will be announced shortly.

Relapse Records is proud to announce the signing of Providence, RI's HOWL.

HOWL (Vincent Hausman ?guitars, vocals, Andrea Black ?guitars, Robert Icaza ?bass, Timmy St. Amour ?drums) formed in 2006 and have already toured extensively with many like-minded bands including KYLESA, TORCHE, YOUNG WIDOWS, COLISEUM and more.

HOWL's Hausman commented on the signing; We're very excited to be signed to Relapse. Right from the start, we've gotten the sense that the folks at Relapse care about the bands and their creative vision first, which is important in an industry too often concerned purely with profit, image, and commercial viability. Relapse also has an impressive roster of former and current bands, many of which we grew up listening to. It's humbling to now be part of that family.?

Relapse will first issue HOWL's debut, self-titled EP this summer as the band continues writing for their first full-length.
