'Death To All Tour 2012' Dates Announced

Sick Drummer Magazine and Perseverance Holdings Ltd. have announced the "Death To All Tour 2012" in benefit of Sweet Relief. This five-city tour will feature a majority of DEATH's amazing musicians, as well as special guests. This tour is to celebrate the life and music of Chuck Schuldiner, as well as to raise awareness of Sweet Relief Musicians Fund — a charity that provides financial assistance to career musicians faced with illness, disability or age-related problems.


This tour will kick off in San Francisco, California and work its way to Orlando, Florida — stopping in Los Angeles, Chicago and New York along the way.


The drums will be handled by Gene Hoglan ("Individual Thought Patterns", "Symbolic") and Sean Reinert ("Human"). On bass will be Steve DiGiorgio ("Human", "Individual Thought Patterns") and Scott Clendenin ("The Sound Of Perseverance"). Guitar duties will be shared by Paul Masvidal ("Human"), Shannon Hamm ("The Sound of Perseverance") and Bobby Koelble ("Symbolic").


The dates are as follows:


June 22 - The Regency Ballroom - San Francisco, CA
June 23 - House of Blues – West Hollywood, CA
June 26 - House of Blues - Chicago, IL
June 28 - Irving Plaza – New York, NY
June 30 - The Beacham - Orlando, FL

The new version of the song was remixed by Alan Douches and is featured on the band’s classic 1993 album, Individual Thought Patterns.


Individual Thought Patterns was recently reissued as a deluxe 3-disc set, a 2-disc standard set, and a deluxe digital download. The album has been re-packaged with extensive liner notes from Gene Hoglan and includes a second and third bonus disc worth of previously unreleased demos plus a full live set recorded in Germany during a 1993 European tour. The follow-up album to Human, Individual Thought Patterns has been remixed by Alan Douches and re-packaged to include a second and third bonus disc worth of previously unreleased demos and a full live set recorded in Germany during a 1993 European tour. Also included on the third bonus disc exclusive to this re-issue are rare riff tracks from the Chuck Schuldiner archives. The complete tracklisting for all three discs can be found below.

Individual Thought Patterns is set for an October 25th North American release date, October 28th in the Benelux / Germany, and October 31st in the UK and rest of Europe. Individual Though Patterns follows the recent re-issues of The Sound of Perseverance and Human. Like those re-issues, Individual Thought Patterns will be available as a deluxe 3-disc set, a 2-disc standard set, and deluxe digital. Re-Mastered Demo Track Posted Online; Chuck Schuldiner Tribute Guitar Giveaway

DEATH's seventh and final album The Sound of Perseverance will see its official re-issue on February 15th in North America (February 21 internationally) via Relapse Records and a re-mastered demo version of “Story To Tell“ taken from the re-issue has been posted online at this location. “Story To Tell“ appears on the second disc of the re-issue that features all previously unreleased demo material. A complete track listing for the re-issue can be found below. The first in a series of official DEATH re-issues slated for 2011, The Sound of Perseverance is available for pre-order now at this location.

The Sound of Perseverance has been remastered from the original studio tapes and also includes enhanced artwork (viewable here) as well as liner notes from the original cover artist Travis Smith. The re-issue also features expanded liner notes from DEATH guitarist Shannon Hamm and never-before-seen photographs from The Sound of Perseverance era.

A special 3-disc deluxe version of the The Sound of Perseverance re-issue is also available pre-order at this location. The deluxe version includes another bonus disc of unreleased material and will only be available via Relapse Mailorder and digitally via iTunes. Rare Video Footage Posted Online

A brand new video clip of DEATH’s Chuck Schuldiner during a promotional trip in Europe in 1991 has been posted online now at this location. The clip was shot and edited by DEATH manager Eric Greif who was with Schuldiner during the trip. The three-minute video shows highlights from the cross-country trip, culminating with Schuldiner’s interview for MTV’s ‘Headbanger’s Ball’ at the MTV studios in London.

DEATH has recently seen the bulk of the band’s catalog made available for the first time digitally. It’s legendary albums ‘Scream Bloody Gore’, ‘Leprosy’, ‘Spiritual Healing’, ‘Human’, ‘Individual Thought Patterns’, and ‘The Sound Of Perseverance’ are available now at this location.

This three-minute clip was shot and edited by band manager Eric Greif and comes from a forthcoming film documenting the making of the David Bellino directed Lack of Comprehension?video.
