Announce More Tour Dates

BURST has announced more tour dates to their co-headlining European tour alongside THE OCEAN. This month-long tour will begin in late February and will also include BISON BC and MEDEIA. A complete listing of tour dates and cities can be found in the tour section with more details to be announced soon.

BURST are touring in support of their latest release, Lazarus Bird. Lazarus Bird has recently been nominated in the 'Best Hard Rock / Metal' category of the 2009 Manifest Awards alongside albums from OPETH, GRAND MAGUS, and DISMEMBER. Premiere Two New Tracks

Sweden's BURST (Linus Jagerskog ?vocals, Jesper Liverod ?bass and vocals, Patrik Hultin ?drums, Jonas Rydberg ?guitar, Robert Reinholdz ?guitar and vocals) have posted two new tracks from their forthcoming album, Lazarus Bird. These tracks, Cripple God?and (We Watched) The Silver Rain? can be heard now via the band's MySpace: MySpace.com/BurstRelapse.

BURST recorded Lazarus Bird at Studio Bohussound (STATUS QUO, ABBA) in Kungalv, Sweden with engineer Fredrik Reinedahl (OPETH, IN FLAMES, GADGET). Lazarus Bird will see a September 16th North American release date, September 22nd internationally.

Additionally, BURST has announced the first tour dates in support of Lazarus Bird. BURST will begin this album's touring cycle with a string of dates in Russia and the Ukraine. A listing of tour dates and cities can be found in the tour section with many more to be announced soon.

Begins Work On New Album

Sweden's BURST (Linus Jagerskog ?vocals, Jesper Liverod ?bass and vocals, Patrik Hultin ?drums, Jonas Rydberg ?guitar, Robert Reinholdz ?guitar and vocals) have entered Studio Bohussound (STATUS QUO, ABBA) in Kungalv, Sweden to record their new full-length album, Lazarus Bird.

Lazarus Bird, the follow-up album to 2006's acclaimed Origo, is being recorded once again with engineer Fredrik Reinedahl (OPETH, IN FLAMES, GADGET). Advance song titles include: I Hold Vertigo? We Are Dust? Momentum? Nineteenhundred? Cripple God? We Watched The Silver Rain? and I Exterminate The I? Lazarus Bird is expected to see a Fall 2008 release date.

BURST spent the greater part of 2007 writing and rehearsing material for Lazarus Bird. The band commented on the process: We are confident that the end result will be worth all this work and end up in an album that we feel is the absolute most accomplished effort we've ever been able to squeeze from our system.?

BURST has debuted the second video from their acclaimed Origo album, for the track The Immateria? exclusively at www.singingfool.com. Team Up With THE HAUNTED For Finnish Tour; Complete Work On New Video

BURST will kick-off a Finnish tour next week with fellow Swedes THE HAUNTED. The run of dates will begin Monday, February 19 in Helsinki and will also include stops in Jyvaskyla, Tampere and Turku. A listing of BURST tour dates can be found in the tour section with more to be announced soon.

Additionally, BURST has completed work on their second video from their acclaimed Origo album. The video, for the track The Immateria? was shot in Stockholm, Sweden and directed by Robinovich of Robinovich Productions. Members of BURST will guest on Friday's airing of MTV Norway's brand new Headbangers Ball program. Bassist Jesper Liverod will make an in-studio appearance on the Friday the 13th edition of the program. Headbangers Ball airs every Friday from 23-00 PM CET on MTV Norway and is rerun every monday from midnight-1 AM CET.

BURST TO GUEST ON HEADBANGERS BALL

Members of BURST will guest on tomorrows airing of MTV2's Headbangers Ball. Bassist Jesper Liverod and vocalist Linus Jagerskog will make an in-studio appearance on the program, Saturday, May 13th. Also to be aired on this week's program is the band's video for "Where the Wave Broke," the lead-off track from their album Origo. Headbangers Ball airs every Saturday from 10-12 PM EST on MTV2.

BURST ANNOUNCE ADDITIONAL FESTIVAL GIGS

BURST have announced several more summer festival appearances.

The band is now set to appear at Roskilde Festival (Denmark), Pukkelpop (Belgium), Hole In the Sky Festival (Norway) and Peace and Love festival (Sweden). The confirmed festival appearances are now as follows:

BURST Awarded Prestigious P3 Gold Award

BURST have been honored with the prestigious P3 Gold award for their critically acclaimed album Origo in the "Best Rock/Metal Album Of The Year" category. Also nominated in this category were OPETH, THE HELLACOPTERS, and GRAND MAGUS, amongst others. The P3 Gold Award comes from youth station P3 on Swedish National Radio and is among the largest media outlets in the country.

The band comments on their recent accolades, "Everybody in BURST is very honored by the award. Previous winners in this category include OPETH, IN FLAMES and NASUM (all of whom have inspired us as musicians), and to be honored with this award with this year's impressive roster of nominees is a momentous feeling."

Origo will see its long-awaited North American release on February 7th.

Hot on the heels of their recent European tour supporting OPETH, BURST will return for a 19 city tour beginning February 14th in Scotland through March 5th in Brussels. Sweden's BURST are scheduled to shoot a video for 'Where the Wave Broke', the lead-off track from the bands forthcoming new record Origo.

The shooting will take place with the band and the Harvest Light Production Co., headed up by Kim Peterson and Peter Reinholdsson, this weekend in Stockholm.

The video, the first from Origo and the band's second overall, is scheduled to make it's international debut in early November.

BURST ANNOUNCE EUROPEAN TOUR WITH OPETH; SHOOT VIDEO

BURST have landed a slot supporting OPETH on the band's European Tour.

The European-wide tour, which begins November 27 the U.K. at Nottingham's famed Rock City, covers ten countries over 23 shows. A complete listing of tour dates follows this message.

BURST bassist Jesper Liverod comments: "BURST have been given the chance to join the band OPETH for a full European tour through November-December. This is something we can't miss, since OPETH are one band we are all collectively fond of. Joining them for their tour is a huge honor."

Liverod continues, "Getting the opportunity to tour with Opeth means BURST has to postpone the U.K. headline dates scheduled for the end of October. It is not without regret as we were looking forward to playing for and meeting the fantastic audience in the U.K. again, on our own this time. We will be back in the U.K. for a headlining tour around February to make up the dates."
